Homecoming 2026 Update

Good afternoon Kings Park Community,

If you are diligently following along on the school district calendar, you are aware that Homecoming is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd. Section XI establishes game schedules each spring, and we then build our calendar from the scheduled home games. We were originally scheduled to play Amityville on October 3rd. However, as you may have read in the media, Amityville was not able to field a varsity football team this fall. We were then able to secure Shoreham-Wading River (SWR) as a non-league opponent for this game. Unfortunately, this past week, SWR pulled out, citing injuries. While we have diligently canvassed the region for an opponent to play on October 3rd, we were not successful. 

The next scheduled home football game is Friday, October 30th vs. Bayport-Blue Point. This is our only remaining home game and becomes the NEW date for Homecoming. Thus, all activities scheduled for Friday, October 2nd and Saturday, October 3rd will now flip to Friday, October 30th. We will have floats and other typical Spirit Week and Homecoming activities, but unfortunately we will not be able to hold a parade this year. The parade requires a permitting process and road closures, and this is not possible on such short notice. 

Please adjust your calendar accordingly.
