Superintendent’s Message

I am very fortunate, in that I enjoy coming to work each day.  I have the great pleasure of working with a highly skilled and dedicated faculty and staff, talented leaders, as well as highly supportive parents, residents, and community groups.  Our shared commitment to educating our young people serves as the “glue” that binds us all together.  As a school community, we continue to demonstrate our commitment to KP Pride, service, and our Kings Park Family.  As the old adage goes, “It takes a village to raise a child.”  It is both an honor and privilege to serve as your education leader here in Kings Park.  Kings Park is a great place to work, live, and/or raise a family.

About Dr. Eagen:

Dr. Timothy Eagen is the proud Superintendent of Schools in the Kings Park CSD.  He began his tenure in Kings Park on August 1, 2014.  Dr. Eagen is a Past President of the New York Affiliate of ASCD (NYASCD), a Past President of LIASCD, and a member of the Steering Committee for The Long Island Regional Advisory Council on Higher Education (LIRACHE).  Additionally, Dr. Eagen has served on the Section XI Executive Board and currently serves on the Suffolk County School Superintendents Association Executive Board as the organization’s Vice President.  Dr. Eagen is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Department of Teaching, Literacy and Leadership at Hofstra University, where we mentors administrative interns and sits on dissertation committees.  Dr. Eagen holds a B.S. in Ceramic Engineering and Materials Science from Alfred University, a M.S. from Hofstra University in Secondary Education, and an Ed.D. from Hofstra University in Educational and Policy Leadership.  Dr. Eagen is a published author, Life Member of the National Eagle Scout Association (December 1988), and Scoutmaster of Troop 52, East Northport.
