Mary DeRose Parent Resource Center

The Center was dedicated to our Superintendent who served the district from 1979 - 2007 ,
Dr. Mary DeRose, for her commitment to thousands of Kings Park children over the last three decades, and for her continued support of the parents of our district.

The Mary DeRose Parent Resource Center is a comprehensive facility designed to help inform and empower the Kings Park parents about the social and educational issues that affect the lives of their families, such as Internet Safety, Bullying, Substance Abuse Prevention, Teen-Parent Communication, etc.

The Center is a sister organization of the Council of Schools, the umbrella group for the district parent organizations. It is located in the San Remo building on Lawrence Road, in Room 116, where seminars will be provided for district parents free of charge.

Lending Library

There are helpful books for parents on an array of topics available for use via a lending library system. The library operates on an honor system; please sign out books in the log book located on the computer desk. You may keep the books for 3-4 weeks.
