Kings Park Performing Arts Boosters
Kings Park Performing Arts Booster Association
The board of the Kings Park Performing Arts Boosters would like to welcome you to the start of the 2025/26 school year.
We hope to receive your continued support and ask that you renew your membership at KPPABA Membership . Additionally, we want to welcome all paid members to consider attending our monthly meetings and reach out to volunteer to help with our fundraising at all district concerts and theater productions. Working together we can help keep music and performing arts active in our district.
Here is a recap of some of the ways our association has been able to enhance the music and performing arts departments at the Kings Park School District.
Last year we:
- funded scholarships for graduating seniors, with seven $500 scholarships being awarded
- provided support to the various drama departments in RJO, WTRMS, and KPHS with refreshments and meals at late night rehearsals
- contributed to coordinating summer band camp needs, and any other needs brought to us from the music department throughout the school year
Through generous donations from donors such as the Sorrentino Family we:
- purchased a number of Ukuleles, French Horns, Baritones, and other instruments
- purchased a stage scrim for the high school auditorium
- enhanced its sound system with acoustical fins
- orchestrated an end of year celebration to honor our music students and inducted a former KPHS graduate in our Hall of Fame, Dr. John Gallagher
With a Disney World performance down Main Street USA in the near future, we anticipate assisting with some of the transportation costs. We funded the transportation of the instruments and uniforms in 2022, and hope to be able to offer again.
We appreciate your continued support and welcome members to take an active role this year in the Kings Park Performing Arts Boosters Association.
Sincerely,
